Dear blogger....

Why does the uploading of photos and making a post have to be so difficult?  I think I have to go medicate with a pepsi after trying to get these photos uploaded....oh man, talk about stress!

After years of enjoying other peoples blogs I have finally taken the plunge...kind of like a baby's first bath...first very delicate and apprehensive, but soon will feel like old school and we'll be splashing around.  Bear (lol) with me as I learn. I will try not to complain too much each time I try a post.

A decision has to be made...quilt or stitch the sampler...I think I'll do a bit of both today.  I am off work for the day so stitching is on the calendar.

Quilt

Blue Piney, hand pieced, hand quilted, ca. 1990's

Stitch

Sarah Hatton McPhail from the Essamplaire

Would you like for me to press it next time? LOL

Why do these pictures come out so pixilated? ugh...there is obviously a lot that blogger and I have to come to terms on and they may be the winner.
Stay stress free with your favorite beverage and stitch on!

Robin

  1. Both are lovely! Welcome to the blog world. And yes, the whole photo upload thing is unnecessarily difficult, but then, it's free, I figure.

    1. Hi Glenna! It's so good to talk to you again. The color of the parrot on Charlotte Clayton was the bane of my existence the last time we spoke. I finally used one of the other greens. I couldn't come to terms with a gray parrot. LOL As far as blogger goes, I will struggle with something just about 3 times and then throw the baby out with the bathwater, so I think I will break down and get a phone that takes good pictures. I am taking pictures with a camera and then trying to upload them to blogger, etc. Thanks for the reminder that it is free...LOL We need all the free we can get with this hobby. haha

    1. Hi Sandra! Thank you. You will love Sarah. The first time I saw her on Glenna's blog I swooned. There is just something that pulls me into that scene and the dainty roses just top it off. It seems that I have more to say than what fb is really about? I'm new to fb but everyone seems to keep it short and sweet and of course I want to include all of my stitching, not just the samplers.

    1. Dearest Donna, yes, starting is the hardest with anything, no? Especially as we get on up in the cruise control part of life. LOL And thank you about the projects. I am going to glean the information from you about your phone pictures upload and look into that this next week. I still have a flip phone and my grandkids can't understand why you can't run your finger across the window and have things scroll!! LOL I asked my dil a question about fb and she couldn't even answer because she uses her phone and I use a laptop...she was clueless...geeze, I need to get with the program! LOL

  6. Hi, Robin, your first blog post is wonderful! I love the quilts, and the sampler from Essamplaire is wonderful. Why waste time ironing when it is just going to get wrinkled again? I agree about posting an update on your blog, it is a major production for me and always takes nearly an hour!! Melinda

    1. Hi Melinda, thank you! I think I am going to enjoy this journaling of sorts; and I'm sure I will get to know the in's and out's of blogging in the future. I would like to find out why the pictures of the linen look "grainy"..is it a pixel thing? Yours don't look like that. Do you take pictures with a phone or a camera, like I do? Thanks for any info you can share and again, thank you for the welcome!

    2. Oh, and by the way, I love your blog and am very impressed with your samplers. There are some fabulous stitchers out there and I discover more each day.
